About the Geek in Heels
Jenny was born in the most fabulous country of South Korea. She
moved to the states at the tender age of 7 and has resided in NY since.
After spending 6 years in Baltimore, MD where she attended school and
remained for her first job, she returned to NY, aka the greatest city
in the world.
Along with books, gadgets, spicy food, and art, Jenny’s other interests include music (she has studied the piano and violin extensively…but also enjoys today’s popular tunes), computers, boardgames, basketball (go Knicks!), karaoke, the theater, Star Wars, museums, video games, and beer.
Other random tidbits:
- Her friends call her the queen of useless trivia and for good reason: she can kick your butt in Cranium or Trivial Pursuit any day.
- She has seriously studied studio art, was accepted to some of the best art schools in the country, but decided to pursue art history instead. Needless to say, that didn’t pan out and she ended up majoring in international studies.
- She can make the best 갈비찜 (kalbijiim) in the world. Ask anyone.
- Many of her friends call her “mommy” for her nurturing (but sometimes evil) nature
- A personality test typed her as a “considerate artist” which seems to fit well.
- In April 2008 Jenny was married to her best friend and partner in crime. She refers to him as "J" on this site.
- And yes, Jenny is Mrs Peony on Weddingbee.
Jenny currently works in marketing and is also a freelance designer.
Lastly, but definitely not the least... Jenny is one of the biggest geeks you'll ever meet. A short geek at that, standing at a whooping 5'1" and compensating for her tiny stature by always wearing heels.
