I had a very easy delivery for a first-time mom; she was out after only 12 pushes (about five minutes)! However, recovery and adjusting to life as a mother are a lot more difficult than I imagined and I have found myself neglecting this blog.
Guest posts will begin to go up shortly, and I promise to write my labor story when I find the time and energy. In the meantime, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for your prayers, good wishes, and lovely messages.

First of all, she's ADORABLE! She's so tiny (Piper was short, too, but like, two pounds heavier- my chunkster) and cute! Second, SO jealous your delivery was so easy and fast! I guess you'll need to beware for future kids, now that you know you're a fast laborer!
Remember, for right now, everything is all about SURVIVAL. Let her sleep on you if it gets her to sleep, sleep whenever you can, let other people do anything for you…take care of yourself!!

Motherhood *is* hard & exhausting. It gets easier. You find out her patterns, work out a schedule, hormones die down, etc. Hang in there & push through this part.
